KPM Berlin Hand Painted Courting Couple Flowers & Gold Square 9 5/8 Inch Bowl B
Nice antique square shallow porcelain bowl. Decorated with a hand painted courting couple scene with a Georgian / Colonial couple playing a game of chess in a garden while another man looks on.  Framed by hand painted flowers in pink, purple, blue, yellow and orange. There is a semi nude statue in the background. With gold gilt scrollwork designs and gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse with an underglaze blue scepter mark used by KPM Berlin.
Probably circa 1860s.
Has some wear to the gilding, and a tight discolored crack extending off the edge but otherwise good condition with no additional chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide x 2 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
