The CIRAS can hold BALCS or SPEAR cut IIIA armor as well as plates. This vest comes in a few variations. Please see below to understand the options.
Maritime CIRAS: Opens on both the right and left side.
Standard: Full MOLLE
LE: Full MOLLE with Hook & Loop Chest and Upper Back (LE Version) : Has hook and loop over the MOLLE on the chest and upper back for patches and badges. The lined MOLLE is still fully functional.
