Each 5.1 in clear and white self-watering planter comes with a cotton rope, a planter container, and a water storage pot. How to Use the Clear Self-Watering Pot.
One end of the wick goes up through the bottom of the inner planter container, the other end will be left to dangle inside the clear outer pot.
Put a thin layer of soil (preferably fabric soil) to cover the cotton rope.
Place your plant or flower inside the wicking pot and cover it with plant soil.
Pour about half an inch of water inside the clear pot. The water level must not be over the bottom of the white inner wick pot; otherwise, the root will not have room to breathe and could drown to death because there is too much water. (See the photo for the proper water level).
