Circa 1910 Cracker Jack Advertising Pocket Mirror (smaller 1.75 inch size). This mirror features the early “Eat Cracker Jack And Be Happy” advertising slogan at top.
One of the all time great vintage Cracker Jack items, this early pocket mirror is a “prize” (no pun intended!) in the field of Cracker Jack collecting, advertising pocket mirrors, and classic celluloids in general. There were several different very similar variations of this mirror issued by Cracker Jack. All are great. This is a particularly scarce and desirable smaller size variety of the Cracker Jack pocket mirrors at 1.75 inches in diameter (which may sound similar in size to the normally seen 2 1/4 inch Cracker Jack mirrors but is really a lot smaller and this is quite pronounced in person!)
Having collected Cracker Jack advertising items for many years, i have always been very partial to the smaller variety.The pictures show the condition which all in all is extremely nice. The front is beautiful; the reverse mirror has quite a bit of the silvering worn away but of course it’s the front that matters! (personally, wear to the mirror has never meant anything to me).
