    Description

    bw#pc
Antique Hartford Fire Insurance Ruler / Paper Cutter featuring Famous Fire Disasters from 1835 to 1906.
A VERY old ruler that also doubles as a paper "cutter".
Commemorates these old disasters; New York 1835 ( Great Fire of New York ), Portland 1866 ( Great Fire of Portland, Maine ), Chicago 1871 (Chicago Fire of 1871), Boston 1872 (Great Boston Fire ), Saint John 1877 ( Great Fire of Saint John, New Brunswick), Baltimore 1904 (Great Baltimore Fire), San Francisco 1906 (Earthquake & Fire).
"Compliments of the Hartford Fire Ins. Co. Hartford, Conn. ....Losses Paid 0,000,000"
    Measures about 9.5" long.
Made by the America Can Co.
This shows a little wear though is still a great display piece in my opinion, and is quite unique and scarce. A Nifty little piece of disaster history
